TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY, PHILOSOPHY DEPARTMENT, Lubbock, TX. Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, beginning Fall 2023. Ph.D. prior to appointment preferred. AOS: Ethics. AOC: Open. Undergraduate and graduate teaching. The typical teaching load is 2/2 with a course load reduction in each of the first two years. Research expectations typical of major research institutions. Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the proven capacity or clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are encouraged to apply. Some thesis supervision. Service duties include program-building, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities. Experience working with diverse student populations and first-generation students is highly desirable. Service to the department, college, and university is expected. Salary competitive.
