Duties and Responsibilities: Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Philosophy seeks qualified candidates for an appointment as Lecturer, beginning Fall 2023. The Department of Philosophy has 38 full-time faculty serving 174 majors and is located on the university’s Lakeshore Campus. The candidate should have demonstrated record of excellence as a teacher and mentor in philosophy. We have a particular interest in candidates who can teach Philosophy of Science courses at the introductory and upper-division undergraduate levels). Teaching duties will be introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses. Job duties will also include service work and advising and mentoring of students.

Qualifications: Requirements include PhD in Philosophy at the time of appointment. The candidate also should be willing to support the mission of LUC and the goals of a Jesuit Catholic Education.
