Assistant Professor of Philosophy Position Type: Faculty - Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Philosophy, Carleton College, MN, USA starting in September 2022. This is a tenure-track position. Teaching duties include five courses over three ten-week terms. AOS: open, but the candidate should have a substantial grounding for teaching Early Modern Philosophy. We are particularly interested in an AOS in Non-Western Philosophies, Feminist Philosophy, Aesthetics, Decolonial Philosophy, or Philosophy of Technology. AOC: Open Ph.D. in hand or imminent completion by the time of employment is required. We are particularly interested in candidates committed to teaching a diverse student body. Carleton is a highly selective liberal arts college with a student body of approximately 2,000. Located in the thriving two-college town of Northfield, Minnesota, it is forty-five miles from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, in easy reach of a vibrant metropolitan area that is home to three million people and rich cultural resources.
