Description
The Department of Philosophy at Georgetown University invites applications for a tenure-track position to begin in August 2024.
The teaching load is two courses per semester, with teaching responsibilities at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Additional responsibilities include graduate supervision and standard departmental and university service.
We are looking for candidates whose area of specialization is ancient Greek philosophy. 

Qualications
A Ph.D. in philosophy or a closely allied eld is required prior to appointment start date. Candidates must have prociency in ancient Greek. Candidates must show strong promise of excellence in teaching as well as research.

We aim to conduct Zoom interviews with candidates in the second half of November and to arrange campus visits for finalists during the first half of December. A job offer will be made in January or February.

We will ask candidates whom we interview to provide a statement of teaching philosophy and either a teaching portfolio or evidence of the potential for excellence in teaching.
