The Department of Philosophy at West Virginia University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor starting August 2018.
AOS: At least one of the following: Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Science (including neuroscience), Philosophy of Race, Philosophy of Sex and Gender. AOC: At least two of the following: Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Race, Philosophy of Sex and Gender, Metaphysics, Environmental Philosophy, Philosophy of Technology. A doctorate in philosophy by the time of appointment is required. The successful candidate is expected to develop a strong program of research and excel at undergraduate teaching. The teaching load is three courses per semester.
