Job Description: The Department of Philosophy at Le Moyne College invites applications for a non-tenure track one-year position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor with an area of specialization (AOS) in Social Epistemology or related fields and an area of competence (AOC) in the philosophy of race or of feminisms. The position, contingent upon budgetary and administrative approval, has a proposed appointment start date of August 22, 2025. The successful candidate will teach courses that appeal to a variety of undergraduate students and offer courses in our Core Curriculum. The annual teaching load is seven courses. Preference will be given to candidates with Ph.D. in philosophy by position start date, but ABD will be considered. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching, and have an active agenda of high-quality research.
