Candidates should also be prepared to teach Introduction to Philosophy as well as upper division
courses in their area of specialization. The Philosophy Department is a significant contributor to
the University core curriculum. Candidates are invited to consult the Magis core description on
our website and to address their interest and ability to teach in any of its signature elements.

The teaching load is 3 courses per semester. Salary is competitive.

Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Philosophy is required by the time of the appointment. Teaching experience is
necessary.
