Normally, candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Philosophy by the appointment date. Candidates who are all-but-dissertation (ABD), and who are able to demonstrate that they will be very close to completion by the appointment date, may also be considered. The successful candidate will engage in a combination of teaching, scholarly research or creative activity and service duties while maintaining an inclusive, equitable, and collegial work environment across all activities. Teaching duties will entail teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, and the supervision of graduate students. The standard teaching load is two courses in the Fall semester and two courses in the Winter semester. The successful candidate will pursue a strong, innovative research program that produces cutting-edge, high quality results.
