Visiting Assistant Professor (Texas Tech)

TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY, PHILOSOPHY DEPARTMENT, Lubbock, TX. Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning Fall 2022. Ph.D. prior to appointment preferred. AOS/AOC: Open though the department has special teaching needs in biomedical ethics, ancient philosophy, metaphysics, philosophy of science, philosophy of law, and feminist philosophy. Undergraduate and graduate teaching. The teaching load is 3/3 with no more than two course preps per semester. Experience working with diverse student populations and first-generation students is highly desirable. Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the proven capacity or clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are encouraged to apply. Service to the department, college, and university is expected. Salary competitive. Summer work available.
